Metsänpeitto on musiikkia toisesta maailmasta. Musiikillisesti Metsänpeiton nimetön debyyttialbumi kurottelee psykedeelisestä folkista kohti 1990-lukulaista vaihtoehtorockia. Se kasvaa aluskasvillisuuden seassa versovista hauraista kukista ikivanhojen mäntyjen holvikaariin saakka. Kansanperinteessä metsänpeitto on tila, jossa ihminen luonnonhenkien johdattelemana eksyy metsään, eikä löydä enää tietään ulos. Metsänpeitto ei ole ainoastaan suuntavaiston menettämistä vaan joutumista toiseen maailmaan, josta ei ole ulospääsyä.

Metsänpeitto is music from another world. Musically the eponymous debut album by Finland's Metsänpeitto stretches from psych folk towards 1990's alternative rock. It grows from fragile flowers amidst the forest undergrowth to the arched vaults of ancient pine trees. In Finnish folklore "metsänpeitto" describes the state of being "covered in forest", where men are lured by spirits of the forest to be lost in the woods, never to find their way out. Metsänpeitto is not only losing your sense of direction, it is being transported into a different reality.
